Canberra film-makers win big at Focus on Ability Short Film Festival

A Canberra film-maker has won a major award at the 10th annual international Focus On Ability Short Film Festival, an initiative of NOVA Employment which focuses on the abilities of people with disability.
More than 300 entries from local, national and international film makers were received this year for the 23rd Canberra Short Film Festival, according to an announcement at Dendy Cinemas, which is one of the locations where the event will run in September.
Three Canberra filmmakers have received accolades at the Cause Film Festival for their punchy but heartfelt two-minute film focused on the stigma faced by those living with a disability.
