Over the weekend I was fortunate enough to take part in Screen ACT's Accelerator Pod final presentations for 2016. Each presentation had a maximum of 5 minutes so I used that time wisely by pitching for 4 mins and showing a short trailer for the remaining time (watch below). We are yet to hear the final result of the four projects that get the green light but everyone in the group did extremely well and it gives me hope for the future of the industry in Canberra.

I found the post about The Hell Beneath Us film project really inspiring because it shows how creative ideas and teamwork come together to make a meaningful story on screen. It made me think of when I was at uni and felt overwhelmed by big tasks, and I once used university assignment services to help me manage complex work and meet deadlines. That experience reminded me that with the right help, even tough challenges feel more doable.

Planning and project management are both essential in filmmaking, especially for large-scale productions like The Hell Beneath Us. A planner focuses on scheduling tasks, allocating resources, and setting deadlines, while a project manager oversees the entire execution, ensuring everything stays on track from pre-production to post-production. In the film industry, using a structured approach with the right balance between planner vs project management strategies helps keep costs in check and deliver a high-quality final product.
